Youth Fellowship

The year 2024–2025 was marked by dynamic involvement and spiritual growth for the Yuvajana Sakhyam of Adelaide Mar Thoma Church. By God’s grace, the youth actively participated in numerous church activities and independently organised several successful programmes. A total of 47 members

officially registered in February 2025, strengthening the fellowship. Monthly youth meetings were held at various venues, with youth members leading sessions in prayer, music, and discussions. In addition, two Revival meetings were conducted quarterly, bringing together youth from other churches to

worship and share the Word of God. Youth Sunday was observed on the 20th of October 2024 at Clovelly Park Memorial Hall, where members led various parts of the worship service with reverence.

Seventeen youth members attended the National Mar Thoma Youth Camp in Sydney from our church in December last year, enriching their spiritual and communal experience. A Recreational Day held on April 5 at Thorndon Park Reserve allowed members to unwind and bond through games and shared

meals. Kalasandhya 2025 was a cultural celebration hosted on the 11th of May 2025 at Cosgrove Hall, featuring 12 vibrant performances which was well-received by the community. The Yuvajana Sakhyam calendar sale initiative was also completed successfully with all 25 calendars sold, and special thanks

is extended to Mr. Bibin Thomas for facilitating the purchase.

The youth participated in the global mission initiative “Operation Christmas Child” by packing and sending 12 shoeboxes and contributing $150 to Samaritan’s Purse. This small act of kindness brought joy to children in the Philippines. The youth committee extends heartfelt gratitude to all office bearers, convenors, and participants for their dedication and cooperation throughout the year. Above all, we express our sincere appreciation to our Vicar and President, Rev. Wilson George, for his constant encouragement, guidance, and support in all youth-related matters. We conclude with a prayerful hope that our youth continue to grow in faith and fellowship, participating regularly in worship and community life.
